It’s Easy to Get Started — Register for Blue Access® for
Members
You must be an
active Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico member to use Blue Access
for Members (BAM). Follow these steps to obtain access:
1.
Go to
www.bcbsnm.com/members and click on the Sign Up button.
2.
Have your group
and member identification numbers ready — you can find these on your
member ID card (see Figure 1). Fill in all required information on the
Blue Access for Members registration page.

In the BAM registration Group Number field, enter the number zero
(0), the letter N, and the four numbers of your group number that start
with “8” (Example: If the Group Number is “08010000”
on your ID card, type in “0N8010”
in the Group Number field).

In the BAM registration ID/Subscriber Number field, enter the
member number shown on your member ID card.

3.
Create a
user ID and password. You’ll be
able to access all features of Blue Access for Members
immediately.
Please note: Only subscribers can view claims and personal
information (dependents who register to use Blue Access for Members
will not be able to view this information due to privacy regulations).
Blue Access
for Members is available seven
days a week from
5 a.m.
to 2 a.m. Mountain Time (MT).
If you have
difficulty accessing the site, call the Blue Access Help Desk
toll-free at 1-888-706-0583, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. MT, and
Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. MT.
